Each building went through solar radiation analysis (accounting for the shade they project on each other). According to the amount of radiation each face is subjected to, the face was extruded inwards, making it more opaque and obstructive for direct sun-rays.
Patterns
Unfolding the geometry, we are able to draw on its faces with a single gest. The curve is subdivided into segments and charged with an attraction force. On the outer boundary of the shape, points are created as starting points for line creation. After the lines are drawn, the geometry is refolded with the added curves, creating a tattooed facade.
Structural analysis
Next is a finite element method (FEM) evaluation: By examining just how much load is transmitted through each particular line in the pattern, the lines were sifted into either a constructive or an ornamental group. Then, according to how much they needed to support, the line was extruded into a constructive rectangle [ ] profile.
